In this course, students will learn whole process of making Roman mosaics including how to draw out the patterns. The workshop will begin with an introduction to Roman mosaics and history. You will practice the principles of texture, composition and marble tile cutting to create your own mosaic to take home. Over 50 kinds of real marble available to work with.

At a complete safe and healthy mosaic studio, work with local marble tiles to create your own Roman mosaics.

This is a very intensive course on Byzantine/Roman mosaics where the students will have an artwork with them at the end of the training. Course is perfect for people having mosaic experience at any level.

The cost for the course is $ 400, which includes all your supplies, tools and instructions to create an approximate 25x25cm  Byzantine mosaic copy.
